Welcome back to mindset Mondays…

If you remember last Monday I talked about choosing your attitude, and how while we may lose the ability to choose so many things in life, the ability to choose our attitude can never be taken away from us.

To dig a little deeper into attitude for this weeks Mindset Monday I want to consider what I call the Law Of Abundance.

If you’re a regular here at Web Money Blog you may have discovered that I’m quite a fan of words, I guess as a blogger it helps to be able to express yourself through the written word, but beyond that I am always intrigued by the meaning of words, or breaking apart phrases to dissect meaning.

In this case as we look at the Law Of Abundance - lets first consider the word “Law”

One dictionary definition for Law (according to dictionary.com) is:

“a divinely appointed order or system.”

So first lets consider the ‘Law of Gravity’

What goes up, must come down.  If you jump you will come down.

Now whether or not you believe that God created the earth, and set these laws in place, or if you believe we evolved and this things were a result of a gas explosion, that’s up to you, but a law is a law, and it will operate whether you believe in it or not.

Another example - try driving 90 in a 50 zone past a police man, and then try and get out of the fine using this explanation “Well I don’t believe in that law officer, so it doesn’t apply to me”

Law’s or ‘Divinely appointed orders and systems’ are set in place, they operate under cause an effect and will continue to operate whether you believe in them or not.

Try jumping off a building and telling God, or the air, or whatever that you dont believe in gravity - a law is a law.

So what about the Law of Abundance?

What is the Law of Abundance?

The law of abundance in essence is the understanding, or attitude that we live in a world which has more than enough for me.

Dictionary.com says that the definition of Abundance is:

“an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply”

So for me to operate within the law of abundance it means that I adopt the mindset that the world has “an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply” of anything that I need.

What do you need?

What are you searching for?

Is it love? Is it truth? Is it money or wealth? Is it success? Is it affirmation? Is it comfort? Is it happiness?

When you understand and operate within the realm of the Law of Abundance your outlook become liberated and free.

It means you dont have to hold onto love - because there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of love - so you can freely give it away and know it will come back to you.

It means you dont have to hold onto your happiness or your joy - because there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply - so you can freely express it and give it away knowing it will come back to you.

It means you dont have to hold tightly onto your money - because there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply - so you can freely give to those who need knowing it will come back to you.

The Law Of Abundance In Business and Wealth Creation

So we see that the law of abundance doesn’t just apply to money, but considering that a major focus of this blog is to teach you how to make money online, let look deeper into this.

When we allow an understanding of the law of abundance to transfer from our head into our heart, through consistent decisions to remind ourselves that “the world has an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of everything that I need” and we learn not to worry about where it will come from but we focus on using what we have, giving what we have and creating room for what we need, then we will begin to truly see its power at work.

So within a business setting, the law of abundance can cause you to adopt the following beliefs (print these off and confess them daily - words are seeds remember):

• I dont have any competitors because there are an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of customers
• I dont worry about a recession becuase there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of money, I just need to reposition myself
• I am happy to help those around me because according to the first point I don’t have any competitors, and I can only receive more by creating room for more
• There is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of resources and wisdom around me, how can I tap into it?
• I’m not just living for myself but because there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of everything I need, I have plenty to give, and I’m living to leave a legacy for my children and my children’s children

And that’s really just the beginning, i’m sure with a little soul searching you could come up with more…

So it begins with an understanding (head knowledge), then an experiencial knowledge (heart knowledge) through application that “there is an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply” and because it is a law, or “a divinely appointed order or system” it is at work, whether I believe in it or not.

But… and here’s the big But, unlike the law of gravity, it only works in our favour when we begin to activate it in our lives.

How do we activate the law of abundance?

So very quickly here are 3 easy steps to activating the law of abundance in your life:

1. Confess Everyday - “the world has an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of EVERYTHING that I need”**
2. Dig Deeper and start to confess the specifics of what you need - the world has an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of ‘love’ for me**
   
3. Start to give to others what it is that you’re needing - by doing this you’re creating room to receive.
4. Expect that you will receive what you need, both by confessing that you have received it in faith, and be determined and persistent even when your feelings or emotions dont line up with what you’re asking for.
5. Rinse and Repeat - keep on keeping on.

**For me, and my own personal belief, I believe these things come from God so I confess “God has an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply of everything that I need” cause that’s the kind of God I believe in - a God who so desires to bless us, but much like the law of abundance, unless we activate these laws, our free will to choose our own course can get in the way.
