A Cash Flow System or A Web Based Job?

Hey welcome back! So glad you came back... let's make money!

This weekend I’m over in Adelaide, South Australia for one of my best mates weddings and I have the privilige of being a part of the bridal party.

As is one of my flying rituals I always drop into the bookshop at the airport to pick up a new book to read on the plane (leaders are readers).

This time around I grabbed a book I’ve heard so much about but just hadn’t yet bought myself a copy to read - the book i’m talking about is “The 4 hour work week” by Tim Ferris.

The flight being only 1 hour didn’t give me a great deal of time to get through too much of the book but just the first 3 chapters have given me a whole lot to think about and ideas which I had already begun implementing in my own Online Business.

On a side note - apologies for the lack of posts this week as things have been a little crazy flying over here to Adelaide etc etc, but hey it’s the life of an Internet Entrepreneur, fly around the country during the week and still make money whether you’re at home or sitting in a mates living room, typing a blog on his couch.

So back to the point of todays post…

Do you have a Cash Flow System or a Web Based Job?

I have just started developing a new project which I may be able to divuldge a little more information about in the coming months so stay tuned, but without giving you the details of my new Top Secret Cash Flow System I’d like to talk about a few of the things I’m doing in the development of this new online business venture which could assist you in building your own Online Cash Flow System.

You see, whether its an online business or an offline business, we can all get caught in the trap of thinking we have a business when all we are really doing is creating a job for ourselves.

Even if you consider yourself to be self employed, if you do not have the ability to walk away from the business for a month and come back to find it in the same, if not strong position than which you left it, and it continues to provide you with cash flow while you’re away, then in reality you just have a job even though you are the boss.

So how do you create a Cash Flow System?

To make money online is easy, but to build a cash flow system is not quite as simple… and for us control freaks it can be darn near impossible.

One of the things Tim Ferris speaks a lot about in “4 Hour Work Week” is outsourcing.

To effectively outsource your Cash Flow Generating Activities you must have reliable systems in place.

… so back to my own Secret Cash Flow System project

As I launch into this new top secret online business project, every step of the way I am documenting what I am doing, EVERY STEP!

Why would you go to that effort?

I’m creating systems… Cash Flow Systems which could be followed by any Tom, Dick or Mary to continue with my everyday Online Business activities, and ensure that whether or not I’m doing the activities, or if i’m lazing on the beach in the Cook Islands for a month, my Online Business continues to function and not just function but Grow!

What are Cash Flow Systems?

A good cash flow system is nothing more than step by step instructions to follow to create an outcome, and in this case cash!

Good systems are easy to understand, easy to follow and do not rely on a particular person to conduct the activity.

A really good cash flow system does not even require the person to have any particular high level of skill or knowledge, but they’re that simple and specific that it could be followed by anyone and the same results can be achieved.

Cash Flow Systems could be any of the following:

How To Set Up A New Blog
How To Post A New Blog Post
How To Use You Tube To Attract Traffic
How To Build Targetted Twitter Followers
How To Find Valuable Targetted Niche Markets
How To Build Targetted Facebook Followers
How To Research Niche Topics
How To Find Valuable Keywords For Targetted Search Engine Traffic
How To Research High Value Keywords For Adsense Revenue
How To Set Up Feedburner On Your New Blog
How To Install WordPress Plugins
How To Install WordPress Themes

And the list goes on… and on…

But do you know what else you’re doing while you’re creating these cash flow systems?

You’re also creating valuable info products, which you could sell as an ebook, as an audio download, as a video download, as a webinar series, compounding the value of your cash flow systems and even creating a new online business for you.

So let me ask you this… How could you systemize your Online Business?

What elements of your online business could you turn into simple step by step systems to free yourself from the day to day activities and allow you to:

1. Spend more time doing the things you’re passionate about, whether that be travelling, leisure activities, time with family and friends, community or volunteer work.

2. Spend more time on the strategic elements of building your online business.
