Hey welcome back! So glad you came back... let's make money!

Everyone is looking for a way to make money online but as usual most people want everything for nothing.

On a side note - I tend to head off on tangents when I start writing, so bare with me…

But back to this side note:

I was helping the Geeks at Geekversity with their Melbourne Geekversity Event which is a ripper if ever have I been to a content packed Internet Marketing Event.  So I was there, volunteering, doing regos, handing out apples and bags of chips, answering questions and generally having a great time.

To my amazement, I encountered some of the most unreasonable people (delegates at the event - not staff or geeks), people who have received tickets to a 2 day event teaching them how to reach financial freedom and opportunity of a lifetime, and they (only a handful) were acting like children.  People having a big sook because someone sat in their seat, others acting so childishly, expecting the world, prepared to take, take, take but give nothing!

Okay so i’m off my soap box - just a quick lesson in the way the universe doesn’t work - in order to receive you must first be willing to give!

So back to the point of this post - If you are looking for a way to make money online, but you dont have any money to invest into it, then there are some fantastic ways to generate an income from the web which will cost you nothing, nada, zip!

Here is a simple 4 step process to how to make money online - without a website, and without spending a single red cent!

1. Go to http://www.clickbank.com and sign up for a free affiliate account

Clickbank are one of the leading information marketplaces, selling digital products, and offering affiliates the opportunity to promote these products for a commission on each sale.

When you’ve signed up for your free clickbank affiliate account you can start browsing through their massive marketplace of products.

Clickbank have information products (ebooks, software, membership sites etc) in so many different niches, from Health and Fitness, Business to Business, Relationships, Internet Marketing and more.

Its so simple, all you need to do is find a product to promote, create a hoplink (your own affiliate tracking link) to promote the product with and start to promote it…

Yes I heard you… How do I promote it you say?

2. Create a Twitter Account

If you have not heard of twitter.com you must have been living under a rock, hiding in a cave, or something along those lines.

Twitter is a microblogging site, which allows you to post 140 character long messages to the people who follow you.

At Twitter.com you can create your own free account - http://www.twitter.com/nathanhulls <— blatant plug FOLLOW ME!

Once you’ve created your account you can follow others, and others can follow you.

Using http://search.twitter.com you can search for people who are talking about particular things, so here’s a Million Dollar Tip - (maybe you should do step 2 before step 1) - do a search for words which are relevant to the products/niche you want to promote from clickbank.com and follow those people.

Twitter allows you to do niche market research, find people who are talking about, passionate about, right into, specific topics and niches. Right away you know that they have some interest in your chosen product and are potential clients!

Build your targetted twitter list - and I recommend opening multiple twitter accounts for any different niches you want to promote, and keep them separate to your personal twitter account.  Another thing to remember with twitter is that if you simply use it to spam people with offer promotions you wont last long and your followers will soon get sick of hearing your pitches, so be sure to mix up your offer tweets with relevant, valuable information.  A ratio of 1 offer to 10 tweets is probably a good tweet:pitch ratio.

As you build your twitter following you will get more of an idea of what the marketplace is looking for, what questions are they asking, what solutions do they need?

Then you will be able to seek out other affiliate networks, such as Commission Junction and services like Offer Vault which allow you to search for offers in particular niches.

3. Create a Free Blog To Begin Blogging About Your Chosen Niche

What kind of blogger would I be, and how could I justify my attempts to make money blogging if I didn’t recommend that you set up a free blog.  There are so many Free Hosted Blog services these days.  A few of those are:

  • Wordpress.org
  • Blogger.com
  • iiabblog.com
  • uwcblog.com

With any of these you will be able to set up your very own Free Hosted Blog and start blogging about your chosen niche, including regular promotions and recommendations for your selected clickbank affiliate products.

Just one thing to remember before you go crazy and start making your millions - always remember your priority is providing value for your customers.

  • Always select products you believe in, have integrity and sit with your own personal values.
  • Dont let the $ signs distract you from providing value.
  • Dont spam - you wont last long if you’re just pitching all the time.
  • Use twitter and your blog to build relationships, and be personable - people buy from people.
  • Where possible, choose a niche you’re passionate about and have some knowledge in - turn your passion into profits!
